How Bear Grylls Met President Volodymyr Zelensky

It wasn’t made clear why Grylls travelled to Kyiv to meet Zelensky, but the two were photographed sharing chocolate and conversation on a walk through the city. In a series of tweets, Grylls expressed his gratitude to the people of Ukraine for their hospitality during his visit and acknowledged the struggles that the people would face as they headed into winter. 

His tweets went on to talk about how survivability would be a struggle for the Ukrainian people, as their infrastructure remained under constant attack throughout the colder months. He noted that “survival for millions of people is a very real daily struggle.”

Grylls also hinted at a possible special, stating that people were about to see a side of President Zelensky that had never been seen before. With the programme coming soon, according to Bear Grylls’ Twitter, there’s a great deal of anticipation to see what the show holds. Zelensky also posted on his Instagram, thanking Grylls for his visit and supporting Ukraine. 

The Influence of Bear Grylls

He started out small, but the impact Grylls has had is immense. He’s passed on survival skills to numerous people through his shows, interviews and books, helping those who want to explore the wilderness around them to do so with a little more sense. He even led a recent (yet tragic) recovery mission to find the body of Pippa Middleton’s brother-in-law on Mount Everest.

A Chief Scout, he teaches children and young people the essential skills that could save their lives in the future. He is known for telling his student that “nothing is impossible” as he drives them not only towards personal confidence and success but also shows them how to thrive in the outdoors.
