The Outwell Air Cruising Collection comprises several outstanding Inflatable Drive Away Awnings which are all both easy to pitch and easy on the eye. There are several designs available to suit the needs of you and your family and your individual preferences.

A firm favourite of World of Camping over the last couple of years has been the super versatile Bremburg Air. This is a front-facing awning which means that the entrance faces the same way as the vehicle. However, it also has an identical entrance at the rear, which means you can have a more private way in and out of the awning, or you can pitch it on the other side of the van if you wish. The Bremberg uses the Outwell One-go Inflation system which means the whole awning will inflate in a few minutes from attaching the pump to a single inflation point. Great if you’re putting the awning up alone.

There are often not as many choices of awnings if you have a higher vehicle. That’s where the Newburg 240 Tall Awning comes in. If your van has an attachment point between 240cm and 270cm (just measure from the ground up to your rail) this side-facing awning will be perfect. The side and front doors of the awning both have insect-proof mesh screens and there is an optional 2-berth inner tent available here which can be used as a storage area or a bedroom for the kids or visiting family or friends.

A favourite for VW campervan owners and similar-sized vehicles like the Mazda Bongo and the Toyota Alphard is the Outwell Wolfburg 380 Drive Away Air Awning. This front-facing awning has a rain-safe canopy at the front. The unique feature of this awning is that the tunnel part of the awning completely detaches, meaning the awning can be easily pitched on either side of the vehicle, or if you prefer not to attach to the vehicle (sometimes it’s the easiest option) you can simply leave it freestanding next to your van.
