The Robens Trail range of tents includes technical features, practical details and well-tested materials to provide a good, reliable all round choice of tent designs for general outdoor pursuits at a reasonable price. Here at World of Camping, we would consider this range of tents to be suitable for the more seasoned and experienced trekkers who know that paying a little bit more can really improve the camping experience when pack size, weight and premium features are concerned.

Our favourite tent from this range is the Robens Lodge 3 tent. This tent is a combination of dome style and short transverse ridge pole that provides three people plenty of flexible living, cooking and storage space. Excellent internal height and width enable all three campers to sit side by side, no need to take turns. The best feature is that it has an entrance on both sides, making it much easier for all of you to pop in and out of the tent. The large twin porch areas offer loads of room for gear storage and cooking needs.

For a couple, or a single person looking for a bit more room by themselves, the Starlight 2 is a fantastic choice. This award-winning classic tent uses a double wedge design to efficiently shed wind. The Starlight 2 pitches easily and quickly using double clip-on hooks to the main alloy hoop pole that is pre-angled to maximise useable space and comfort. It weighs in at only 2.5kg and packs down to only 43cm x 16cm so will fit into any rucksack or strap to your bike.

The trail range has a host of premium features. They have large rainproof vents which, unlike most tents, are operated from inside the tent, they also have an adjustable line inside to dry clothes and gear. All tents use extremely lightweight yet strong anodised alloy poles and a ripstop polyester flysheet which has an amazing 5000 Hydrostatic Head waterproof rating.
